By Michael Murphy

Michael Ruppert is admired by many for his pioneering work on issues such as the 911 truth movement, his exposure of the CIA’s connection to major drug smuggling operations into the U.S. and his research into the Pat Tillman murder case.   It is apparent to many that he has committed his life to exposing the truth about important issues that affect many around the world today.  I recently had the opportunity to attend the premier of Ruppert’s new documentary “Collapse”, which Ruppert not only attended but also granted a question and answer session after the showing.

The documentary “Collapse” predicts the social, economic and political collapse of the world system as we know it. Ruppert describes this crisis as being characterized by the breakdown of governmental services, food shortages, death, lawlessness, resurgence of gold as the prime currency and state successions in the United States.  Ruppert blames peak oil as being the main catalyst to his upcoming predictions.  Peak oil is defined as the point in time when the maximum rate of global petroleum extraction is reached, after which the rate of production enters terminal decline.  He states that the world can-not sustain itself with our current population and energy requirements.  His chilling predictions are followed by suggestions to invest in seeds, learn subsistence farming, being involved in a local community, all in preparation for the inevitable collapse.

Ruppert is consistent with many in his prediction of a great collapse in the system; however, he blames the crisis and other future problems on peak oil.  He also predicts that those who survive the crisis will enjoy a future society that is non-corporate and self sustaining.  Obviously this is contradictory to the beliefs of anyone who is aware of the New World Order agenda.

After the movie, Ruppert had a ½ hour period where he answered questions about the film and his work.  When I asked him about his thoughts  on the New World Order agenda and the elites role in creating the problems he discussed in the film, he arrogantly responded by saying ,“the new world order is a red herring (a diversion), globalization is dead, FEMA camps do not exist and people who think like this need to use their heads.”  Ruppert addressed another question from the audience about the 911 truth movement he helped pioneer by stating that “people should not waste their time on the 911 truth movement because no government entity will ever truly address the issue”.   While Ruppert might believe that 911 truth will never be addressed by any government official, the movement has a profound effect on truth and transparency, our freedoms and future events.  Rupper’s attempt to discourage the audience from pursuing 911 truth is not only a slap in the face of the victim’s families, but also a slap in the face of freedom.

Ruppert has exposed many important truths in the past; however, this documentary is counterproductive in exposing real political truth and producing the change that we need to regain our freedom because it denies the basic principles of the new world order agenda.  This leads me to the conclusion that Ruppert is either  asleep, deceived or just plain using deception.
